Lawrence “Larry” McGuinness

Lawrence McGuinness is the founding partner of MG Legal, P.A., where his practice is focused on employment litigation and trial work. He represents both employers and employees in complex workplace disputes.

With nearly four decades of experience, Mr. McGuinness has handled a wide range of employment matters, with a particular emphasis on cases that proceed to litigation. He is known for a direct, results-oriented approach and for taking cases through trial when necessary. His practice is particularly focused on matters that require litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy.

He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University with a dual major in Accounting and Finance, and his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law, where he graduated with honors.

After beginning his legal career at a national employment law firm, he established his own practice and has since represented employers and employees in employment disputes for nearly four decades.

Juliana Gonzalez

Juliana Gonzalez is a Partner at MG Legal, P.A., representing employers and employees in workplace disputes and advising businesses on employment-related risk.

Her approach focuses on risk, leverage, and outcome, allowing clients to make deliberate, informed decisions rather than reacting prematurely.

Her practice centers on employment litigation and strategic counsel in complex workplace matters.

Ms. Gonzalez began her legal career in Colombia before earning her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, she interned for Judge Shelby Highsmith of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and with the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Legal Bureau.

She later served as an attorney with the Miami-Dade Police Department, advising on employment-related matters and internal issues, and has experience representing employers in labor and employment disputes.
